Alfred H. Kingon

Retired as Principal of Kingon International Inc., an international consulting firm, Alfred H. Kingon served as the US Ambassador to the European Union from 1987-1989, Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Cabinet from 1985-1987, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Policy Planning and Communications in 1984 and Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Economic Policy in 1983.

From 1971-1983, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Macro Communications Inc., which published Money & Credit, Financial World and Saturday Review.

In addition to his public service and journalism careers, Ambassador Kingon served as a broker/analyst and a portfolio manager of a stock mutual fund. He was a member of the Investment Policy Advisory Committee to the United States Trade Representative (for the GATT Round) and the Board of Advisors of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Assistance Corporation of New York City in 1997.

He serves as a public arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers. He was an adjunct professor at Marist College. He is an independent Trustee of Mini-Mac Capital Trust.
