Lester B. Korn

Ambassador Lester B. Korn is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Korn Tuttle Capital Group, as well as Chairman Emeritus of Korn/Ferry International, the world’s largest executive search firm.

From July 1987 to October 1988, Ambassador Korn was the US Representative to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. During that time, he also served as Alternate Delegate to the 42nd and 43rd General Assemblies of the United Nations. In 1983, Ambassador Korn was a special advisor and delegate to the UNESCO Inter-Governmental Conference on Education for International Understanding, Cooperation and Peace. He was a member of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships from 1985 through July 1987.

A founding member of the American Business Conference and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of California (Los Angeles) Foundation, Ambassador Korn was awarded the Alumni Professional Achievement Award of Excellence in 1984 and the National Brotherhood Award of the National Council of Christians and Jews in 1987. In 1990, he received the Neil Jacoby International Award of the UCLA International Student Center. Ambassador Korn was named “International Citizen of the Year” in October 1991 by the International Visitors Council. He received the Superior Honor Award from the State Department for his superior service in 1988. In 1995, the Korn Convocation Hall at UCLA was dedicated in honor of Ambassador and Mrs. Korn. During 1996, Ambassador Korn was a member of the US Presidential Delegation to observe the elections in Bosnia.

He is the author of numerous published articles and the best-selling book, The Success Profile, published by Simon and Schuster in 1989. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a Director of the Music Center of Los Angeles County, ConAm Properties; The Anderson School of Business; the Board of Governors of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and the Council of American Ambassadors.
