Ronald S. Lauder
The US Ambassador to Austria from 1986-1987, Ronald S. Lauder today serves as Chairman of the Central European Development Corporation, an organization dedicated to long-term, free market investment in Eastern European countries. He also established an international student exchange program, which is designed to build personal relationships and create a better understanding of peoples and their cultures.
In addition, he is the President of the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation, Chairman of the Jewish Heritage Council and a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
A graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Ambassador Lauder was a member of the Economic Development Board of the State of New York. Ambassador Lauder also served a highly successful two-year term as Finance Chairman of the New York State Republican Committee. He is the author of the book, Fighting Violent Crime in America, which was published in 1985.
