Ambassador Joseph Verner Reed Honored

November 14, 2012: Ambassador Joseph Verner Reed received the Medal for Distinguished Achievement from the American Society of the French Legion of Honor on November 14 in New York City.

A long-time Council member and United Nations Under-Secretary-General, Ambassador Reed also has served with distinction as the United States Ambassador to Morocco, the United Nations Economic and Social Council, Chief of Protocol and as Alternate Permanent Representative to the United Nations General Assembly.
