State Department invites CAA members to participate in its Virtual Fellows Program

The Department of State invites Council members to participate in its new Virtual Fellows Program (VFP). The recently launched program enables experienced business leaders, academics and other professionals to serve as virtual consultants to the State Department.

Building on the success of the Department’s current residential fellows programs and the Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS), the innovative VFP encompasses the range of issues that go into the formulation and execution of U.S. foreign policy, including public diplomacy; non-proliferation; human rights and democracy promotion; the environment; international trade, finance and energy; counterterrorism; and many more.

Virtual Fellows will serve on a part-time basis for a minimum of six months.  They must be U.S. citizens, will receive clearances and will have access to the Department’s unclassified e-mail system.
