Ambassador Wos receives the Sister Cities International Diplomatic Leadership Award

At the Sister Cities International Diplomatic Gala, Ambassador Aldona Z. Wos received the Sister Cities International Diplomatic Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional support of Sister Cities International’s mission: to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation—one individual, one community at a time. Ambassador Wos’ long-term support of exchanges and peacebuilding has underscored the benefits of developing sustainable international relationships.

Ambass Wos was the US Ambassador to Estonia from 2004 to 2006. She currently serves as Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
