Applications for Summer 2015 internships at the Department of State are available on-line. To qualify for the Council’s International Affairs Fellowship, students first must be selected for a Washington, DC-based summer internship with the Department of State. Please note that the State Department's application deadline is October 17, 2014.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Council member Howard H. Baker, Jr. Ambassador Baker served as U.S. Ambassador to Japan from 2001 to 2005.

The Council mourns the passing of Ambassador Robert D. Stuart, Jr. (Ambassador to Norway, 1984-1989). Ambassador Stuart was Chairman Emeritus of the Council of American Ambassadors.
