Public Diplomacy Fellowship

The Council of American Ambassadors is proud to welcome the 2024-2025 Kathryn W. Davis Fellows.  The Fellowship is celebrating its 19th anniversary this year.

The Fellowship

The fellowship is awarded annually to two mid-career Foreign Service Officers who have demonstrated the commitment and creativity to become leaders in the field of public diplomacy.  The fellows will have opportunities for professional development training at the University of Southern California's Center on Public Diplomacy.  They will also participate in monthly mentoring sessions with members of the Council of American Ambassadors, the Public Diplomacy Council of America, and other public affairs specialists.  Finally, they will each write an article to be published in an upcoming issue of The American Ambassadors Review.  The purpose of the fellowship is to enhance the conduct and practice of U.S. public diplomacy through specialized training and mentoring opportunities for outstanding FSOs who are dedicated to the mission.
