The Council of American Ambassadors held its second Ambassadors Roundtable luncheon of 2012 on Tuesday, June 26 in the Anderson Room of The Metropolitan Club of Washington, DC.

The Ambassador of Turkey, His Excellency Namik Tan, was the guest speaker at the June 26 event. Ambassador Gilbert A. Robinson, co-chair of the Ambassadors Roundtable program, welcomed attendees to the program and led a vigorous question and answer session. It was most appropriate to have with us Turkey’s chief diplomat in the United States given the ongoing developments in the Middle East and the strategic importance of the United States-Turkey relationship. Ambassador Lloyd N. Hand, co-chair of the Ambassadors Roundtable program, offered concluding remarks.
