The Council of American Ambassadors held an Ambassadors Roundtable luncheon on Monday, November 18, 2013 in the Anderson Room of The Metropolitan Club of Washington, DC. The Ambassador of Egypt, His Excellency Mohamed Tawfik, was the guest speaker at this event. In light of the turmoil in Egypt, it was particularly timely to have with us Egypt’s chief diplomat in the United States.

Following an introduction by Ambassador Lloyd N. Hand and Ambassador Tawfik's formal remarks, Ambassador Gilbert A. Robinson led a robust question and answer session.  Questions from Ambassadors Timothy A. Chorba, Timothy L. Towell, Bruce S. Gelb, Diana Lady Dougan, Edward E. Elson and Thomas Graham, Jr. covered a range of topical issues.
