Ambassadors Roundtable with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom
The Council of American Ambassadors held an Ambassadors Roundtable luncheon on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in the Anderson Room of The Metropolitan Club of Washington, DC. The Ambassador of the United Kingdom, His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott,
was the guest speaker at this event. In light of the special relationship between our two countries and current events in the Middle East, it was particularly timely to have with us the United Kingdom's chief diplomat in the United States.
Following Ambassador Westmacott's formal remarks, Ambassador Gilbert A. Robinson, co-chair of the Ambassadors Roundtable program, led a robust question and answer session. Questions from Ambassadors Timothy L. Towell, Bruce S. Gelb,
James J. Blanchard, Diana Lady Dougan, William C. Eacho, Richard T. McCormack, and Lloyd N. Hand covered a range of topical issues.
